COVID-19 Updates

Long Beach Friends Church will not be meeting in person for worship, due to the Long Beach Health Department declarations that group meetings should be avoided to reduce exposure to COVID-19 (the Coronavirus). Our desire is to act cooperatively in the best interests of our community while continuing to meet together virtually, encouraging one another as scripture recommends.

Watch our prerecorded announcement and sermon videos on our YouTube channel and on Vimeo.

10 AM Zoom worship, prayer, and discussion time. We encourage you to watch the sermon and announcement video for the current week before this meeting.
Please email us at office@lbfc.org for Zoom details.

11 AM Khmer Worship Conference call. Please email us at office@lbfc.org for call details.

Our efforts to serve those in our vicinity who may need meals, prayer, and an encouraging word, many currently experiencing homelessness, continue according to social distancing and other guidelines worked out in conjunction with our local civic leaders and neighbors.

As the possibility of resuming in-person meetings becomes practical and consistent with our state and local guidelines, we will announce plans. Just to be clear, our plan for Sunday, May 24, 2020 remains the same. We will not be holding in-person services inside the church building. We do not anticipate that we will change our plan for May 31. When we are ready to safely begin moving toward meeting on Sunday in person again, we will announce those plans. Until then, love your neighbor, love your brothers and sisters, and stay safe! Our usual online and phone meetings such as those mentioned above will continue in the meantime.
