Update on December 22, 2022 !! Ministry and Counsel has decided to cancel Christmas morning services this coming Sunday to avoid contributing to the spread of Covid-19 in the congregation. We’ve had several reports of Covid in recent days that complicate meeting this Sunday. So, stay home, stay safe, and enjoy celebrating the birth of Jesus with your families this Sunday! We will announce any cancellations or changes in our normal schedule for January 1 and later as they are available.
This is what we were saying prior to December 22, much of which remains useful…
Long Beach Friends Church is meeting in-person for most worship services, with online access to many services to accommodate ongoing health conditions and travel difficulties for some attenders. Please watch our announcements for details.
We continue to follow the Long Beach Health Department recommendations to reduce exposure to COVID-19 and strongly encourage vaccination. Our desire is to act cooperatively in the best interests of our community while continuing to meet together responsibly, encouraging one another as scripture commends. Of course, please avoid in-person meetings if you have positive Covid-19 test results or symptoms of illness.
Watch our prerecorded announcement and message videos in English on our YouTube channel and on Vimeo. Our messages are also available from the normal podcast outlets, or may be accessed at our podcast page on LibSyn.
10 AM in-person worship with zoom access. We encourage you to watch the sermon and announcement video for the current week before this meeting.
Please email us at office@lbfc.org for Zoom details.
11:30 AM Khmer Worship in-person and via conference call. Please email us at office@lbfc.org for call details.
Our efforts to serve those in our vicinity who may need meals, prayer, and an encouraging word, many currently experiencing homelessness, continue according to guidelines worked out in conjunction with our local civic leaders and neighbors. ICM is meeting in person at the church building for services and meals.
As we transition into more in-person activities, let’s love our neighbors, love our brothers and sisters, and stay safe!
