Long Beach Friends Church has been accepted as a host site for Angel Food Ministries. We are glad to be able to join in the work started in 1994 by Pastors Joe and Linda Wingo. Their generous spirit, led to what is today known as Angel Food Ministry. Over the years other churches wanted to get involved and now Angel Food Ministry provides food relief to people in 35 states.

Angel Food Ministry is a service ministry that meets the needs of the community by offering a hand up not a hand out. It provides high quality food at a reduced cost. The ministry is non-denominational, non-profit and is open to everyone. There are no income restrictions. For $30 you will receive a box of food that would generally cost you $65 in the store. The food is restaurant grade quality and one box will feed a senior citizen for a month and a family of four for a week. There is no limit on the number of boxes you can buy. For an additional $16-$20, you can purchase an add on box containing a variety of uncooked meats. Currently Angel Food Ministry is providing food relief to more than 500,000 families each month.
