About Angel Food Ministries

Who qualifies?

Everyone, there are no applications or qualifications to order Angel Food.

Where does the food come from?

Our food is "restaurant grade" meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, "name brand" foods. Never "seconds" or "day old" type products are involved.

Can we receive more than one unit or special?

Yes, you can order as many regular units as you would like. To receive a special box you must first order a regular unit.

About Ordering and Pick Up

Where do I order?

There are two ways you can order from Angel Food Ministries. You can come to our church office, located at:

850 Atlantic Avenue
Long Beach, CA 90813

Our cross streets are 9th and Atlantic. We're open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-6pm (excluding holidays). Normally, people come to the office to order when they want to pay cash, money order or EBT. (The door to the office is located on the southeast corner of our building, the inside corner of our parking lot at the back. If you get here and cannot find us, call us at 562 437-1566 and we will come find you!)

Otherwise, people order online. Angel Food Ministries runs the online payment service and they accept debit and credit cards with a convenience fee of \$1

Where do I pick it up?

You can pick up your order during the month's Distribution Day (check www.lbfc.org/angelfood.php for exact date) from 10:30am-12pm at our church (address stated above).

When is the food distributed?

The next distribution day is listed on our main angelfood page and all the distribution days that have been scheduled are listed here.

For pickup, what will I need?

here) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, so we can email you another copy of your receipt. If this is not possible, just show your ID when you pick up your order. We just want to make sure the right person gets their order.

What if I am unable to pick up my order? Can someone else pick it up for me?

Yes, they can as long as they have your original receipt. If they do not have your original receipt and they are not the person that ordered it, then we cannot distribute the food.

What happens if I don't show up to pick up my order? Will you hold it for me?

Much of the food in your order is frozen. We do not have facilities to keep it. If you do not come to get it and we cannot reach you to make mutually satisfactory arrangements, we will donate your food to families that need it. This is the policy recommended by the national Angelfood Ministry organization. If you communicate with us, we will try to be helpful. We want you to get the food you order!

Donating Food

Donating food to families that need it sounds like a good thing. Can I do that?

Yes. You can purchase food and distribute it to anyone you know who needs it, or donate it to the church and we will make sure that it goes to a family who needs it. There are plenty of families who need a helping hand during these times.
